New Features in RCMS Professional
 
New feature highlights.  This is a list of the major new features that have been added from the original release of RCMS Pro 7.1 to the new RCMS Pro 7.3:

RCMS 7.3 New Features:
  • Order Processing has been rewritten into convenient tabular format with many new features
  • Transfer Order Screen - New feature to send and track inventory between branches.
  • Commissions can now be set per salesperson
  • Warehouse management features have been added to track Bin/Shelf (row/aisle) locations for inventory within the warehouse
  • Several new options added to the Print Settings screen to modify the look/feel of the Contract/Invoice forms without requiring modifications.
  • Option to apply cash receipts by invoice number or PO number
  • Ability to grant or deny access to RCMS users to access inventory and customer records for specific locations.
  • Ability to customize industry-specific nomenclature at a global level in order processing screens (i.e. change the word ‘contract’ to ‘bid’, etc)
  • Optional Health Care industry-specific features have been added
  • Option to set Default Values for dialog messages through-out the program
  • Options to suppress Dialog messages and screens that are not pertinent to your company or industry
  • Custom Data Driller views for inventory and customers have been added so you may customize search screens. You may define columns, default search criteria, etc
  • We've been listening to our clients and have added over 100 additional features that make RCMS more user friendly and intuitive but are not listed here individually.

Pro Series 7.3 New User Interface Features:

  • The Company ID field has been expanded to 10-alphanumeric characters to allow an unlimited number of Pro Series companies.
  • Pro Series 7.3 supports Themes for Windows XP users. In addition, Pro Series 7.3 screens reflect the appearance of Windows color schemes and advanced settings.
  • Using the Clipboard Toolbar, you can store commonly used text, and copy and paste text from the Windows clipboard to Pro Series forms. In addition, administrative users can modify clip scripts to execute Visual FoxPro program scripts.
  • Resizing Sage Pro ERP screens expands the grids to allow the user to view more data.
  • Use the new Desktop Tab on the Company Maintenance screen to add pictures, color or graphics to each company’s desktop for easier identification.
  • You can now auto-arrange and align Pro Series favorite desktop and toolbar icons.
  • Additional orientation settings have been added to the Print dialog box.
  • Notes and Memos can now contain Hyperlinks and URL's.  Hyperlinks can access a Web site URL, or a document, such as a PDF or Word file.
  • Date, Date & Time and Spell Check options are available on all Notes fields and tabs. For an example of these options, go to “Notes Tab Fields” on page 63 in Accounts Receivable. In addition, the Notes tab has been added to the Cash Receipt, Journal Entry and Purchase Order Receipt screens.
  • Message Master now offers a PDF Writer option to support multiple PDF applications.
  • Now selected grid rows are highlighted in a different color, and hotkeys allow users to jump between the top and bottom rows.

Pro Series 7.3 New User Productivity Features:

  • The User File Maintenance tree view screen allows you easy access to all user functionality, including privileges, dataviews, favorites, and so on. Add, edit or delete user information, or maintain dataviews directly from the user maintenance screen. You can view the users associated with a profile, and navigate quickly between users.
  • Now you can easily copy user settings such as hotkeys, privileges, dataviews, and favorites, and merge settings with existing users.
  • General Ledger provides alphanumeric account codes. When entering General Ledger account codes, you can use letter (A-Z) or number (0-9) combinations to define the code segments.
  • Customize forms and reports using the new tree view maintenance screen in System Manager. You can create unlimited custom reports and forms, assign report forms to users or companies, and select custom forms when printing.
  • The Pro Series Active Users screen displayed in a refreshable pick list format.
  • General Ledger account inquiry has been enhanced to drill down in any module. Use the new Account Inquiry icon on the toolbar to see account activity by period, source journal entries, POs and invoices.
  • Pro Series 7.3 offers support for ACCPAC Messenger 2.0. ACCPAC Messenger is a client/server program that allows you to send and receive critical fax documents from your desktop. Network clients can read, annotate, access and store fax documents on the network.
  • Use the options on the Maintain Datadriller screen to resize dataview columns and save formatting settings for specific users.
  • Add Customization Manager to the Favorites toolbar and access it from any application.
  • In Pro Series 7.3, Comment screens can contain unlimited text, and the Spell Check option to check spelling and grammar.
